Dear San Diego ASTA members,

It is nearly July and what has happened to the time???

I returned from the ASTA Advisors Conference on June 1st and hit the ground running. It was a great conference with some informative educational sessions. We also had a great showing at the Chapter Connections where our table was very “Classy”. All the chapters went all out with their decorations and Dallas Chapter took the prize for best table. Rightly so, they were decked out cowboy style!!

Next Year’s event will be held in Salt Lake City on May 20 – 22, 2025. Mark your calendar.

Your ASTA board is busy planning many more learning opportunities for this summer and beyond so stay tuned. Meanwhile, please put these dates on your calendar:

· July 23 – our first Breakfast event with Azul Ixtapa Hotels

· August 5 – Lunch & Learn Riviera Maya with Sensira Hotels – Café Coyote in Old Town

· August 14 – Educational Lunch with Holland America and Trafalgar / Insight focusing on Selling groups Seasons 52

· September 11: Our Fall Festival will have a similar format as the super-popular Spring Fling. Supplier sponsorship is SOLD OUT Details coming soon.

· November 21: Our annual ASTAPAC event, Friendsgiving, will feature a virtual visit from one of our ASTA Washington Advocates.

And who is ready for a FAM trip? We are working on exclusive destinations for our chapter!

Legislation Day in Washington DC was moved to September this year. Go online to register for this opportunity to meet face-to-face with our elected officials and discuss ASTA initiatives affecting the Travel Industry.
